Engage In Education
Our future is currently in our schools. Too many people are unaware of the challenges faced by our students, school staff and parents when it comes to education. Too few people in our community are engaged in the local schools to improve critical issues in literacy and general, practical support. There is no more strategic area in a city to make AWESOME  than our schools, yet most sit on the sidelines. It's time to make an impact! Trellis is facilitating a collaborative, strategic approach to impacting the next generation in our city through our local schools. Contact us to learn more about community collaboration to make a difference in our schools.
Ways to Get Involved

Work with children to improve literacy rates either during or after school hours, and mentor a teen to help our youth succeed.

Partner with parents to support them in their own education, which will influence that of their children. Build relationships and get involved with computer training, English courses, and cohort programs to improve parenting skills.

Foster positive learning through pleasant and comfortable learning environments. Become involved in school beautification projects or help improve the classroom setting in under-resourced schools.

Support and encourage teachers through gifts for their classroom, personalized supply baskets, staff appreciation breakfasts and lunches, thank you notes, and lots of care.
